Gerald Finley is nominated for Singer of the Year at the 2021 OPUS Klassik Awards. He is also nominated for Leoš Janáček: The cunning little vixen & Sinfonietta in the Opera Recording (20th & 21st Centuries) category.
The prestigious German award, presented by the Der Verein zur Förderung der Klassischen Musik e.V (The Association for the Promotion of Classical Music), celebrates the German classical music recording industry. The winners will be awarded on 10 October, 2021 at Konzerthaus Berlin.
The Association for the Promotion of Classical Music was founded in 2018. The aim of the association is to promote classical music and, in particular, to reward its artists. The founding members reflect the broader anchoring of the award in the German classical music industry.
